About This Game Eximius is a Strategic Action Shooter (FPS/RTS Hybrid) that focuses on squad-based combat.Eximius combines tactical First Person Shooter gameplay with high level strategic decision-making of a Real-time Strategy(RTS) game. The game features a competitive 5v5 team battles where players square off in a post apocalyptic urban environment. Play as a Commander ( RTS ) ; build base, train an army and call down support abilities to help your allies on the ground to gain territory. Play as an Officer ( FPS ) ; lead your infantry squad into combat and crush your enemies with your agile tactics or brute force. Capture resources for your team, upgrade weapons and equip your squad with suitable weapons.Eximius provides a multi-role gameplay experience where each player could choose to play a diversely different role and fight not only with brawns but also with their brains. An expert shooter could be outnumbered, ambushed and overwhelmed if caught in a wrong position. While a scheming officer could be assassinated in the right moment at the frontline.ObjectivesThe objective of the gameplay is to win by holding down the most victory points. Alternatively , if your forces are powerful enough , you can completely destroy your enemy’s base and win the match immediately. The command headquarters cannot be rebuilt and the game will be instantly over.Axeron Corporation ( AXR )AXR is private research organisation that turned into a security contractor out of global needs. Being at the forefront of science, many believes that this wealthy organisation holds key technologies that could bring about global peace. With limited manpower , the Axeron industrial complex produces highly advanced drones for their workforce , both for military and nonmilitary use. This elusive organisation operates in an extremely organised and stealthy manner. Nations that choose to fund AXR do so for their advanced scientific capability and confidence that they will be the solution to the growing mutant threat.Global Security Force ( GSF )A peacekeeping organisation set up after the first initial great war; the GSF foundation is built upon the principles of securing the walls, recovering human survivors and rebuilding the civilized world. They command the largest military force in the world and operates on a near limitless budget. Nations that choose to fund GSF do so for their vast armies and their global presence. Seamless TransitionAs a commander , you are also an officer. But you have the extra capability to switch to top down RTS interface to build bases and command units. An aggressive commander can also join the battle in the frontline but they are normally expected to stay in relative safety and manage base development. Commander needs to be nominated by the team.Base BuildingAs the gameplay of Eximius revolves around Team vs Team battles, each team shares a base, resource and technology tree. RTS Commander to support the battle operations by training infantry units and vehicles,building bases and call in airstrikes or support abilities. Train ArmiesCommander can train AI infantry and assign them to players. Leading them as a frontline officer; your squad will fight with you sensibly , taking cover and help you both offensively and defensively. Tactical BattlesDecide your combat roles and purchase weapons suitable to your play style and tactics. Your weapon and equipment determine your roles in the team. Respond to enemy strategy with appropriate firepower and equipments; be it vehicles , massive amount of infantry or sneaky players. Unlock TechnologiesAs your resources and technology grow, you can construct increasingly powerful units such as armored vehicles, gunships and elite soldiers. Your team can also gain powerful team abilities when you tech up to new tiers. Call down artillery, deploy quick-response force or launch EMP strikes. BattleSuitsThe pinnacle of each team’s firepower is the legendary battle-suit. Equipping battlesuits allow players to use powerful abilities, have increased stats and is able to push the frontline much faster. I love to play as a commander (im a big fan of these games) im not a big fan of the officer (i am terrible at aiming). This is the first time for me to write a game review ever, and I'm only doing it for this game because it's worth it. I've played many FPS and RTS titles over the years, and I have not seen a game out there that brings the best of both worlds as well as this game. I agree with the other reviews, the AI in offline mode needs improvement, which I have noticed is improving with these updates. Even though the player base is currently small, the online gameplay is fanastic, allowing you to choose between intense FPS combat and tactical commander gameplay. I hope the devs continue to provide us with more updates.. Love this game can't wait to see where it goes keep up the great work DEVS.. I do not recommend this game because of how much is lacking in the base design. I had been looking at this game for a long time and was hoping it would be more than what it currently is. I bought it today and was extremely disappointed at the game's downfalls, which are pretty game destroying issues that compel players to turn away. The main issues I have: 1. You are not able to select difficulty of the A.i.2. The A.i. are incredibly aggressive 3. Marking enemy units for attack is poorly ascertainable\/selectable4. Selection of troops while in commander is extremely sloppy,5. The selection perimeter\/vectoring of each unit is poorly ascertainable\/selectable (via clicks or group selection; Ctrl+A would greatly increase player ability to manage troops), 6. The A.i. need to be adjusted to reflect player capability; I.e. computational moves and timing should reflect that of the human player, such as the time it takes a person to make a decision and build in-game. If these parts were added to the game it would make it far more successful due to the fact of it then having smoother and more enjoyable game-play for all interested in this genre.If I could I would ask for a refund for the early access I bought because even in early access the game lacks anything to compel a player to continue to play.. 7 players online so... Let's say my online experience was limited.. This game has amazing potential but at the moment it is not there...There isnt enough players currently playing this game. I bought the supporters pack to give them more money for developement.This is a early access game so it doesnt have the best animations but its a great start for something that can be amazing! The game literally mixes Red Alert 3 with Battlefield 4!Hope to see more content for this game!. I cannot stress the potential of this game. I have always wanted to see a game like this. RTS is my strong point and by micro tasking a lot more than FPSing I can win. I love the fact they have a droid faction. Id suggest a cheap infantry unit that is mega weak but can be used in large numbers. I also suggest a higher unit cap for them. But let me point out some problems.KEEP IN MIND: This game is still in the works so errors are to be expected. Number 1. It crashes so so much. 2. Bugs occur every second. 3. The AI needs huge reworks because sometimes they can be dumb. 4. Add the option to build cover that AI can use, like come on. So yes its a great game, but if you do buy it as of now its wicked buggy.. Very cool new idea in the world of shooter games. The game is a great mix between FPS and RTS. The game is really fun. i havent tried out a competitive game yet but the player versus environment game mode is really fun.. I give this game a positive review but it could be a negative aswel...Me and my son have been playing natural selection 2 for a while now and where very excited to see another fps/rts hybrid game come out.This game has a lot of potential It looks good playes good and the guns react and sound goodAnd is fun to play.But NO ONE PLAYES IT....After the tutorial we tried to jump into a multiplayer match and where not able to...After several attempt we jumped on the discussion forum to find out it was not our connection or game bug but there was Just no one playing it, looked up the game on steamchart and it also came up with 5 people playing..On the forum they sugested us to join the discord to find people to play with.We did but there was no one up for a game.Managed to speak with some one that told us to join the weekly matches they organize.We went back into game played 2 off line skirmish matches and gave up.I have not refunded the game.I hope it will go up in popularity/player base.Maybe lower the price of the game might help.Its in my opinion to high for an early acces game of an unknown developer.
